Who we are

A b o u t U s

MutatioMare is a local Canarian association dedicated to marine conservation and scientific research along the coasts of Tenerife and the surrounding Atlantic waters. Our platform connects volunteers, interns, students, and local partners with real, hands-on field research focused on protecting cetaceans and the wider marine ecosystem of the Teno-Rasca marine reserve.

MutatioMare is built and run by a small, dedicated team based in Tenerife, supported by researchers, field staff, and volunteers who share a common passion for the ocean. We combine citizen science, education, and direct fieldwork to protect the Atlantic's most vital ecosystems for future generations.

Our Mission

To generate knowledge, inspire action, and drive innovative solutions that protect marine biodiversity and strengthen the connection between people and the sea.

Our Vision

A future where healthy oceans sustain thriving marine life, empower resilient communities, and inspire collective action through science, collaboration, and conservation.

"We believe this program can change the world because we work with people who truly want to make a difference. Every impact matters: every small action in the field creates a ripple, and those ripples continue to grow long after our volunteers leave."
